Your Computer (if connected Wirelessly to your Router) |
Because of the proliferation of various wireless LAN’s operating within the unlicenced 2.4Ghz spectrum together with microwave ovens, walkabout phones, garage door openers to name a few, this type of connection will not work with guaranteed results and generally will not provide an adequate Quality of Service. This coupled with the unpredictability of some wireless enabled computers cannot be supported and therefore is not considered to be a part of the service provided by Linknet. |
NOT A PART OF THE LINKNET NETWORK
NOT SUPPORTED |
All Customer Premises Equipment remains the property of Linknet and must be insured by you for the cost of replacement if damaged or lost including a service callout fee.
An annual insurance premium of $55 is payable otherwise charges for the replacement of damaged or lost equipment including a service fee will be required for continued service. |
It is important to understand that the wireless spectrum (frequency) used to distribute the Linknet Wireless Broadband Service from our Access Point infrastructure to your rooftop equipment and then by Ethernet cable to your router is not widely shared with others and therefore has a guaranteed Quality of Service accordingly supported by our Service Level Agreement.
This Quality of Service is however only available if your computer is directly cabled from the Ethernet port to one of the LAN ports on the Linknet Router.
Conversely, the service or connection provided wirelessly by your router (if enabled) operates within the 2.4Ghz spectrum and is therefore shared by a plethora of other wireless devices and computer networks which will from time to time cause interference and prevent a guaranteed Quality of Service and, at times no service at all.
Because of this we do not include the connection provided wirelessly from your router as a part of the services provided by Linknet and therefore cannot support connection problems associated with computers connected to the wireless signal propagated by the wireless router.
