The information on this page applies to all versions of Mac OS X Mail.
Configuration Of Mac OS X Mail
You should follow through these instructions if you have not yet
set up your account, or if you are
having problems with sending
and receiving mail. They should fix most problems that occur within
Mail.
Firstly, Click on Mail in the title bar menu.
Click on preferences in the drop down menu.
In the new window that appears, Click on the Plus symbol in the lower left hand corner to create a new email account.

First, Change the account type listed to POP by clicking on the item selection box and selecting POP. Once
done click in the description fiel and type in your Linknet email address i.e yourusername@linknet.com.au.
When the description field has been entered in, Click on the email address field and type in your Linknet email
address ie yourusername@linknet.com.au
Once you have entered in your Linknet email address, click in the Full Name field and type in you name i.e Jane Doe.
Click in the Incoming mail Server Field and type in pop.linknet.com.au, Once entered, Click in the Username
field and enter your Linknet username, which is the first part of your email address.
After you have entered in your Linknet username, Click in the Password field and type in your account password.
After the password has been entered, Click on the server settings button listed under Outgoing Mail Server
and in the Outgoing Mail Server field,type in smtp.linknet.com.au.
Make sure that authentication is set to none and there is no username or password listed in the relevant fields.
Once entered, Click on Ok and then close the Account Settings window.
You will be asked if you want to save, Go ahead and click on the save button.
Your account will then be created.
