Configuring Email using Netscape 6 or 7
- In Netscape, go to the Tasks menu and choose Mail (it could
be on the Window or Tools menu, depending on what version you
have)
- Go to the Edit menu, and choose Edit Mail/News Account Settings
- If you have any accounts in the list on the left-hand side,
delete them. The only items left in the list should be Local Folders
and Outgoing (SMTP) server
- Click the New Account button
- Choose ISP or email provider, or Email account, then click
Next

- For Your name enter your name (this can be anything you like
- full name, first name, nickname, etc)
- For Email Address enter your email address (yourloginname@linknet.com.au)

- Click Next
- For Server Type, choose "POP Mail Server" or just
"POP"
- In the Server Name box type: pop.linknet.com.au

- Click Next
- The Username box should already contain your login name, if
not - enter it

- Click Next
- The Account name here can be anything - just click Next

- Click Finish

- Click on Outgoing (SMTP) server on the left-hand side
- Next to Server name, type: smtp.linknet.com.au
- Make sure that Always use username and password is NOT ticked
- Click OK and you are done!
