Email Acceptable Use Policy

Linknet Communications Acceptable Use Policy for Email and Related Systems
Use of email by clients of Linknet Communications is permitted and encouraged where such use supports the goals and objectives of the common mail system. However, Linknet Communications has a policy for the use of email whereby the client must ensure that they:


• Comply with current Australian government email legislation.
• Use email in an acceptable way, as stated in this policy.
• Do not create unnecessary risk to Linknet Communications by their misuse of the internet.
• Understand that email is not a guaranteed service and that some mail activities are unsupported or not guaranteed.
  
  
  Unacceptable behavior
  
  
• Transmitting unsolicited and solicited commercial or advertising material (SPAM).
• Distributing, disseminating or storing images, text or materials that might be considered indecent, pornographic, obscene or illegal.
• Distributing, disseminating or storing images, text or materials that might be considered discriminatory, offensive or abusive, in that the context is a personal attack, sexist or racist, or might be considered as harassment.
• Accessing copyrighted information in a way that violates the copyright.
• Breaking into the company's or another organisation's system or unauthorised use of a password/mailbox.
• Undertaking deliberate activities that waste Linknet Staff staff effort or networked resources
• Introducing any form of computer virus. spyware or malware into the corporate network
  
  
  Unsupported/Un-Guaranteed Services
  
  
• Mass emails and mailing lists sent through Linknet Communications systems
• Commercial financial or confidential emails.
• Personal financial or confidential emails.
  
  
  Failing to follow the Email Policy
  
  
• We will make an effort to contact you. If we become concerned that your use of our service may break the law or that you have not complied with this policy we will attempt to contact you before taking action.
• We may terminate your account and/or notify the authorities if we believe that your use of the service may break the law or that you have not complied with this policy we may; warn you by email; suspend your access to the service; terminate your account without notice; and notify and provide relevant information to the authorities, as appears appropriate in the circumstances.
  
  
  Agreement
  
  All Linknet Communications Clients who have been granted the right to use the company's email services are required to follow this agreement. Use of the Linknet Communication's email services confirms their understanding and acceptance of this policy.
