  • Can I get a service at my address?

If you are in our service area we should be able to offer you a service. Fixed wireless services are Line Of Sight (LOS) technology which means your premises will have to have LOS to our nearest access point. Once we have your address our mapping department can investigate and we will contact you to let you know the outcome.

  • Where are your access points located?

We have existing access points positioned between Murwillumbah and Grafton with more being built in 2010.

  • What speeds do you offer?

For our residential customers we currently offer download speeds up to 1500k and upload speeds to 512k. For faster speeds contact our support staff on 1300 505 306.

  • Can I have more than one computer connected at one time?

Yes. You can have as many as you like as we provide a wireless router and this enables access to more than one computer. Please be aware that adding extra computers to your connection can slow upload and download speeds.

  • What is installed on my roof?

Linknet will install a small flat panel antenna - it is square and white. If you live more than 20kms from our access point you will also need a grid antenna.

  • What if it is not working?

The first step is to restart your router and check all the cables are plugged in firmly. If you are still having problems contact our support staff on 1300 505 306 or support@linknet.com.au.

  • If I forget my password can you email it to me?

You will need to call us on 1300 505 306. You must be the account holder otherwise we cannot reveal the password for security reasons.

  • What parts of my wireless connection can Linknet help me with?

    Linknet support:

    1. The connection from our access point to the reception point on your premises.

    2. The connection from your reception point to the router.

    3. The connection from the router to the computer ONLY IF THE CONNECTION IS VIA ETHERNET CABLE.

Because wireless routers use a spectrum shared with many other devices such as cordless phones, micrwave ovens and garage door openers to name a few and because some wireless enabled computers are unpredictable, we cannot guarantee the quality of service.

  • What are drop outs and what can I do if I experience them?

Drop outs are minor interruptions to your internet service and can usually be solved by rebooting your system and checking all the cables. If the problem persists contact our support staff on 1300 505 306 or support@linknet.com.au.

  • What if the equipment gets damaged or broken?

If you are able to see physical damage to Linknets' equipment contact our support staff on 1300 505 306 or support@linknet.com.au. Please note there may be a charge for replacement of the affected equipment.

Our annual service guarantee covers all our equipment replacement for $55p.a. otherwise you may be able to claim on house and contents insurance.

  • Does Linknet support my VOIP connection?

You are able to use VOIP with Linknet wireless broadband but if you experience problems with your VOIP service you will need to contact your VOIP provider.

  • What do I do if I need Port Forwarding?

Please contact our support staff on 1300 505 306 or support@linknet.com.au.
